LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) today announced 18 Indiana nonprofit organizations from 10 counties have been awarded capital grants totaling $148,763.04 by the SIA Foundation.
Since its establishment in 1997, the SIA Foundation has awarded more than $3 million to fund nonprofit projects across Indiana. The newest recipients represent Boone, Cass, Crawford, Marion, Monroe, Newton, Parke, Pike, Saint Joseph, and Tippecanoe counties.
The SIA Foundation awards grants twice annually to nonprofit organizations seeking up to $15,000 in capital funding for arts and culture, health and welfare, or education projects. Moreinformation can be found at siafoundation.org.
Logansport Intermediate School was one of 18 recipients of this grant in the amount of $6,796. This funding will be allocated toward the purchase of VEX Robotics kits, 3D printers, and other essential materials to enhance our advanced Computer Science program at Logansport Intermediate School. These resources will provide students with hands-on learning opportunities to explore coding, engineering, and problem-solving skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.
